Dr Sudhir has over thirty years’ experience in Clinical Research as a PhD student, Post Doctoral Fellow, and leading research and development programs in Academia and the Biotech/Pharmaceutical/Medtech Industry. He is a Physician and Cardiologist, Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, and Fellow of the American College of Cardiology
Dr Sudhir has over thirty years’ experience in Clinical Research as a PhD student, Post Doctoral Fellow, and has lead research and development programs in Academia and the Biotech/Pharmaceutical/Medtech Industry.
He is a Physician and Cardiologist, Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, and Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He has previously held senior positions in the biotech industry including Vice President of Medical Affairs at diaDexus Inc, South San Francisco, Director of Clinical Development at Millennium Inc, South San Francisco, and Director, Cardiovascular Research at Pharmacyclics Inc, Sunnyvale, CA. Prior to joining the biotech industry, Dr. Sudhir worked for over a decade in academia, holding various positions including Associate Professor of Medicine at Monash University, Consultant Cardiologist at the Alfred Hospital, Co-director- Hormones and Vasculature Research Laboratory at the Baker Heart Research Institute, Melbourne, Australia, Director-Vascular Research Laboratory, and Assistant Professor of Medicine- cardiology division, University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He is recognized in the fields of hypertension and atherosclerosis research, the application of intravascular ultrasound and Doppler technology to the study of vascular physiology, and the actions of sex steroids on the cardiovascular system. Dr. Sudhir has published approximately 180 academic papers in peer-reviewed journals, and a dozen chapters in leading medical textbooks. He has served on the Editorial Board of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, and continues to be a reviewer for several journals and academic bodies.
