Lab At Your Doorstep

MediConnect is pleased to launch Lab at Your Doorstep services. Our Registered Nurses will draw blood in the comfort of your home.  MediConnect’s Lab at Your Doorstep works on two different approaches, based on your convenience

The MediConnect Approaches

Approach 1: The patient’s family selects the lab, and procures the tubes for the blood draw. The Registered Nurse draws the blood and hands over the tubes to the family to drop off at the lab. The cost for this approach is MUR 1,000.  The Registered Nurse will need a requisition for a doctor in order to draw the blood.

Approach 2: The patient’s family selects the lab and informs MediConnect. The Registered Nurse, visits the lab, picks up the tubes, visits the patient home to draw blood, drops off the blood sample at the lab. The Registered Nurse will also pick up the results from the lab and drop the same off at the patient home. The cost for this approach is MUR 1,500. This does not include the cost of the lab test itself, which will vary based on the type of test and lab selected.  The Registered Nurse will need a requisition for a doctor in order to draw the blood.
