Advanced Nursing Care

Acute and chronically ill patients often require strict adherence to physician mandated care protocols.

This can often include receiving injections, using an IV line for nutrition as well as using medical devices such as catheters among other requirements. MediConnect offers advanced nursing care to address these requirements in the comfort of your home. As care givers, you no longer have to take time off work and take your loved ones to a physician’s office or hospital. With a prescription from a registered and certified physician, you can now avail these services at home through our qualified and experienced nurses.

Our Fees

The cost of one visit by our nurses is MUR 1000. Patients can avail of multiple services during the same visit and will ONLY be charged one visit fee. Taxes will be charged separately as applicable. MediConnect will also charge for consumables based solely on usage.  Payments can be made to the visiting nurse in cash, or via our mobile payment option. VAT invoice will be issued immediately on completion of payment.

Positioning bedridden patient
Eliminating needs – diaper change, catheter change
Teaching family how to handle medical waste
Bed sore management
Use of pulse oximeter
Performing nebulizer therapy
Supplying oxygen inhalation – Nasal cannula and simple mask
Setting up IV line for patients (requires a prescription)
Catheter insertion and management (requires a prescription)
Morphine patch management (requires a prescription)
Feeding gastrostomy management
Wound management and dressing
Lifting, handling and transporting patients
Specimen collection – urine sample, stool sample and sputum specimen
Cold/ice/heat application when required
Oral intake and output measurement
Glucose checking
Pediculosis treatment
Bedside ECG
Giving IM and IV injections to patients (requires a prescription)
Colostomy bag management
Nasogastric tube insertion and feeding
Catheter insertion and management (requires a prescription)
